Robbie and Brian had downsized and were living with their daughter and family. They were ready to have their own space.

Initially they were looking at converting a large shed in the garden. They’d spoken to several builders and found one that was going to convert the shed. After a few weeks working with the builder, they didn’t have a good feeling about the progress. That’s when they found us.

When we looked at the site and what they were looking to do we realised that they would get a much better result by starting from scratch. They could build a purpose-built granny flat. This would cost more, but it would give them exactly what they were looking for and give them the space to live in comfort with all the inclusions of a modern home.

We ended up building them a beautiful 57m2 granny flat that sat 900mm between the eaves of the two properties. Check out the video to see what they thought about the process and look at the photos to see how the place came up.
